Did you know that two repetitions of the song “Happy Birthday” while washing your hands is what separates you from most communicable diseases? This is not the only song you can hum on your way to becoming fit. The alphabet also has something to say about how to be healthy.



By memorizing the below A to Z tips of how to be healthy, you prevent a lifetime of misery from lifestyle diseases:



Always have regular check-ups. Visit your dentist twice a year, have your blood pressure read once a year, and for women, have a pap smear the mom
ent you become sexually active.



Be knowledgeable about what’s normal and abnormal. Know the signs and symptoms as well as emergencies to report.



Cook your own food as much as possible. This will ensure that you have more control over what you eat.



Drink 8 or more glasses of water a day. You are composed of about 75 percent water. Every body system depends on water to function efficiently.



Eat a variety of foods to take in as much nutrients needed for optimum bodily function.



Fiber is the key to a healthy digestive system.



Give up junk, processed, and fast food as well as artificial sweetener. They are devoid of nutrients but have high caloric content.



Have a hot tea, coffee, or cocoa. These drinks are rich in antioxidants to fight cancer-causing free radicals.



Invest in health. Splurge in organic foods, supplements, and exercise equipment.



Join a gym, healthy forum, or fitness class. Be motivated to stay healthy by being surrounded by people who share the same interest.



Kiss and cuddle. Aside from promoting the release of feel good hormones, you also burn calories.



Love, love, love for emotional well-being and, of course, to get inspired.
