Answers:

  1. What is OpenArticles.com?
    OpenArticles.com is a new site dedicated to free articles and free content for sites and newsletters. Anybody can publish any article in any of these categories. It's easy to use, manually managed and spam free. We approve only high quality articles, with useful information to our visitors.

  2. Why free articles?
    Writing and publishing free articles is the best and simplest method to advertise your services, website, products, books or anything else you want. Offering your potential readers or customers useful information with free articles is greatly appreciated. It's one of the best ways to advertise something, with a great success rate. Because we see these articles as an advertising tool we allow links in article body, but still enforce some rules.
    Nobody knows where their articles could be used. They are available to be copied on multiple websites with links back to your website, they can be used in newsletters or many other places. Use it intelligently and results will come.

  3. Do I need to register?
    No. You can publish articles with no registration. There is no registration to read articles.
    You still can register and provide one single 'About me' text, with links, used in all your articles.

  4. What other rules are enforced?
    We want here a clean, spam-free website. For this reason, all articles require approval, usually same in the day. Other rules we enforce here:
    - No excessive advertising. Add useful information to your article, not only advertising;
    - No excessive links. We allow links in articles and 'About me' texts, but expect no more that a few links. Too many links will consider your entire article as advertising only;
    - About me texts are truncated to 300 characters;
    - All HTML is stripped out. However we transform all links into proper href links (see below #6);
    - There are no explanations why an article is not allowed;
    - Don't need to try a few times with an article. Once is enough;
    - Choose correct category for your article;

  5. What about copying these articles somewhere else?
    Please copy them wherever you want. There is no need for written approvals. Feel free to do it.
    If you use intensively our site a link back is highly appreciated, but not required.

  6. How to use links in articles?
    As we said, all HTML is stripped out, but links are allowed. Simply write your website URL like www._something_.com or www_something_.com/folder/file.htm or http://www._something_.com or http://_something_.com. All these will create proper href links. 'http://' part will not be displayed (http://_something_.com will became _something_.com).
    Important: leave a blank space after URL (ie. www._something.com. is wrong because of last '.')
